I was taken to the Jägerhof longhouse, as the butcher's shop sells homemade sausage. On the website I can discover how versatile the Jägerhof Maar is. Next to hotel; Country inn with a butcher's shop attached. Thus, due to Corona, I am continuing my pleasure trip through Germany. The offer includes B. Liver sausage; Rind stomach; Garlic sausages .... They look so delicious that I want to be able to do magic. I ordered; bought and paid in advance. That was just like shopping on the spot. I have received my package and I can now really smell the smell of the sausage that I had in my nose. If a vegetarian says that the sausage smells good, then the butcher did everything right. I was also able to find out that sausage seminars are being offered here. I'll let it all sink in before I make a snack with the sausage. I also use the world champion bread from the Göttmann bakery in Höchst / ODW. and an apple table wine from the Walther press. I'm looking forward to the experience and the result. I would like to say a big thank you to the team at Landgasthaus Jägerhof Maar for the service; packing; for information and documentation; the great articles. Thank you for the very nice shopping experience.

A very friendly guest. I stayed here for more than a week, the breakfast was delicious and also a lot, the rooms are super large, the beds are very comfortable and adjustable, which I think is super good. The owner is very friendly, very nice, and the staff, very nice. The food is delicious, and the homemade sausage and other delicacies are very tasty. When I work in the area again, I would love to stay at this hotel and inn again. Thank you very much .

A quaint, cozy country inn. The food was great - delicious. ?Very friendly, helpful staff. We had registered for the sausage seminar, so it was practically working under the direction of the head of the house. It was a very interesting and informative day. The fun was not neglected either. And we were a great group. Thank you for the nice day ?

Really good high-class food, very friendly service, delicious starters and not expensive at all! For me the best restaurant in the Vogelsberg and one of the best in Hesse!

The clean rooms, which are getting a bit old, do not matter to us when staying at the Jägerhof. The food was absolutely outstanding and a real sensory delight! For this reason alone and because of the entertaining nature of the boss (Hans Schmidt), we will definitely come back and have already made our friends curious. A big thank you to the kitchen for this unique experience in regional organic quality. Tip: It is worthwhile to follow the chef's recommendations - beyond the menu.

Very good customer service, the staff are friendly and helpful. However, you can still work a bit on the cleanliness. Still quite ok in general. I've only been there once.

Its Hostile not Hotel, old furniture no Room service no telephone in Room , 3 days no one come and change the bed sheet or even the Towels or the toilet paper !!! Price its high According to the Hostile condition !! Not recommended

The interior is modern and cozy, but the kitchen is more like a country inn. Solid, but please don't expect anything special. The sauces and dressings taste a little bit like convenience.

Due to an article in the Slowfood magazine we were there. It was a very bad experience. The hotel room was a mix of 70s and completely worn. Although we complained, there was no alternative to the hotel room with a rickety toilet pot. Since we came with a dog, the restaurant was taboo. The inn or guest room as an option was no alternative. The food was mediocre. The smoking, loud villagers did not enrich our stay in a positive way. We unfortunately did not get to know the award-winning sausages. We can not recommend this restaurant. Too bad, because the staff were very friendly.
